I'm Renan Hernandez. Fourteen years in digital marketing and creative work, five end-to-end brand builds, currently operating Tradewindstack from Kaua'i. This page is the long version - who I am, what I've shipped, and why the operator-not-agency framing matters.

03 -- The work I do

The thing I keep coming back to: I run brands. Not pieces of brands. I've spent fourteen years figuring out what actually returns on a real business with real cashflow, not a portfolio piece.

That means I write the copy, design the page, art-direct the photo, set up the ad account, build the email automations, and look at the numbers afterward to figure out what actually moved. The agencies that specialize in one slice usually deliver that slice well and then watch their work get undermined by another vendor doing a different slice badly. Owning the whole stack is the difference.

What I'm best at: brand voice systems, paid ads (Google Ads in particular - Performance Max, Search, conversion tracking), custom Shopify website builds, email automations (Klaviyo), and figuring out which of those five things is actually the bottleneck for a given business.

04 -- Why Kaua'i

I live on Kaua'i. The trade winds come from the northeast, hit the mountains, and stack up against them - that's the name. It's also a fair description of how I work. I'm based here, my closest brand partners are here (Ceremony, Da Life Outdoors, Kauai Beach Boys), and I work with mainland and international brands on island time.

HST is 3-6 hours behind every major mainland market, which is actually useful: I get the morning to do deep work before anyone is online, and the afternoon to ship and respond. Most clients say the asynchronous rhythm is better than constant Slack pings.

05 -- What I'm not

I'm not a 30-person agency. I'm not a fractional CMO. I'm not a freelance theme developer who'll build whatever you ask. I'm an operator who productized three specific services that match how I actually work, and I'm capped at three retainer brands at a time so the work stays sharp.

If your situation needs a different shape - enterprise procurement, multi-vendor coordination, broad creative agency scope - I'm probably not the right fit, and I'd rather tell you that on the Roadmap call than after we've signed a Setup contract.
